Women's Tennis Loses To Miami, 5-2

AUBURN- The Miami Hurricanes ranked 27th in the country, defeated #43 Auburn 5-2 out at the Luther Young Tennis Center. With the loss, the Tigers dropped to 4-2 on the season while the Hurricanes improved to 4-1.

Andrea Piski defeated Miami's Alanna Broderick, 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-4, on court one, and Auburn sophomore Simone Jardim beat Katia Bogomolova on court two, 5-7, 7-6(3), 6-3, for Auburn's only two wins on the afternoon.

"We gave a tremendous effort and I am proud of the way we competed today. This match was a lot closer than the final score indicated. We are on the verge of breaking through one of these top 25 schools," stated Head Coach Troy Porco.

The Tigers return to action Sunday, February 20th against Middle Tennessee State at the Luther Young Tennis Center. Admission to the match is free.
