Georgia Tech Defeats Auburn 6-3 In Women's Tennis

ATLANTA- The 47th ranked Auburn women's tennis team lost to the 48th ranked Georgia Tech team 6-3 Sunday afternoon at the Bill Moore Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga. The Tigers drop to 4-6 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-1 overall.

In singles action, Auburn posted wins by Andrea Piski on court one and Lucy Altman on court four. Piski defeated Sabrina Pardo 6-4, 6-2 and Altman defeated Jamie Wong 6-2, 6-2. The Tigers other win came in doubles on court three by Carolina Maurer and Caroline Thompson over Georgia Tech's Charlotte Pernet and Laura Ozolins 8-3.

The Tigers return to action Thursday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. against the Vanderbilt Commodores at the Luther Young Tennis Center in Auburn. Admission to the match is free.
