Aaron Stults

Administrative Assistant

 

Aaron Stults enters his first season as the Tigers' administrative assistant. Stults comes to Auburn after working as the pitching coach at Gulf Coast Community College where he helped guide the team to a 41-19 record and Panhandle Conference Championship last season.

Prior to his time at GCCC, Stults served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Furman University from 1995-97 The Paladins were the Southern Conference Tournament runner-up and set a school record for wins during his final season in 1997.

Stults, 29, also spent one season at Emory University as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. In 1993, he was named the interim head baseball coach at Emory.

His career highlights include having seven of his former pitchers drafted. Also, two of his recruiting classes at Furman were ranked among the nation's best by Collegiate Baseball Magazine. In 1994, his pitching staff at Emory ranked fifth nationally in Division III.

Stults also coached pitchers at two high schools, Penn H.S. in Mishawaka, Ind. in 1992 and Bloomington H.S. South in 1991.

A native of South Bend, Ind., he is a 1993 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in history and political science. He has completed coursework towards a Master's in Education at Furman and plans on finishing the degree at Auburn. Stults is married to the former Jodie Lopez of South Bend.
