Volunteer assistant coach Daryl Walls is in his first season with the Tigers. Previously, Walls served as the volunteer assistant coach at Appalachian State University from 1997-98.
Walls has extensive experience as a camp coach. In the last three years, he has worked camps at Appalachian State University, Mary Washington College, Mississippi State University, Old Dominion University and the College of William and Mary.
A native of Smithfield, Va., Walls played for Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va. from 1994-97. During his career, the team made two appearances in the NCAA Division III National Tournament and won the Capital Athletic Conference Championship in 1994 and 1997. The team also posted a 100-36 record and was ranked as high as fifth in NCAA Division III poll.
Walls received his bachelor of science in Business Adminstration from Mary Washington in 1997. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration at Auburn.
Born March 26, 1975, Walls is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
