Katie Gallina

Student Coach

After a stellar four-year career as a member of the Auburn women's golf team (1994-98), Katie Gallina enters her first season as a student assistant coach for the Tigers.

Gallina is one of only two members in Auburn's prestigious "100 percent Club," which includes players who represented the Tigers at every possible tournament in four years of collegiate golf. The Memphis, Tenn., native was a 1997 All-American, a three-time All-SEC selection and a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member. She ranks third on Auburn's career scoring average chart (78.00) and is the school record holder with 43 career tournaments played. She finished fourth in the SEC in 1997 with a 76.06 stroke average.

Gallina was the 1998 recipient of the Leah Rawls Atkins Award, the highest honor an Auburn women's student-athlete can receive.

She graduated in December 1998 from Auburn with a B.A. degree in Early Childhood/Special Education.
