A high school cheerleader and beauty queen, she was the first African-American to represent the United States in the Miss World pageant in 1986. She has been stunning audiences ever since, starring in such movies as Executive Decision, The Wedding, Bulworth, and now the box office smash X-Men.

The 31-year old hails from Cleveland, and although she divorced from baseball player Dave Justice in 1997, she was recently engaged to singer Eric Benet.
