## Data collection

YT Speed Chips does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or share any personal data.

## Local storage only

The extension uses `chrome.storage.sync` exclusively to save your playback speed preferences (global default and per-channel overrides) within your own Google account's synced browser storage. This data never leaves your browser/Google account and is never accessible to the extension developer.

## Permissions

- **`storage`** — used solely to persist your speed preferences across browser sessions and devices signed into the same Google account.

## Third parties

No data is shared with or sent to any third party.
