--- name: dc-hub-live-data description: Answer data center market, power and grid, interconnection queue, energy price, fiber and site selection questions with live data from the DC Hub MCP server (https://dchub.cloud/mcp) instead of training data. Use when the user asks where to build a data center, how a market or site scores, what a grid or interconnection queue looks like, what electricity or gas costs, where fiber or subsea cables run, or which capacity is available to lease. --- # DC Hub live data The real-time agentic procurement endpoint and data center knowledge hub. This power connects the `dchub` MCP server, a remote Streamable HTTP server at `https://dchub.cloud/mcp`. Nothing is installed locally. ## Access - Anonymous calls work with no key and return previews. - For more calls, the `claim_free_key` tool issues a free key for the session. `bind_email` ties that key to an email so it can be recovered later with `recover_my_key`. - If a result is a partial preview and the user wants the complete data, call `unlock_more_data` and relay the checkout link it returns. Do not invent the rows that were not returned. ## Step 1: Pick the tool If the question spans more than one capability (for example "rank markets for a 200 MW AI campus"), call `execute_plan` with the user's question as `intent`. If you only want to see the plan, call `plan_query`. If you are not sure which single tool fits, call `discover_tools`. | The user asks | Call | | --- | --- | | Which markets suit a new campus? | `rank_markets` | | Should I build in a given market right now? | `get_market_dcpi_rank` | | Market supply, operators and deals | `get_market_intel`, `list_transactions`, `hyperscaler_deals` | | Find facilities by place, operator or size | `search_facilities`, `get_facility` | | Grid conditions and headroom | `get_grid_intelligence`, `get_grid_scoreboard` | | Interconnection queue depth | `get_interconnection_queue` | | Analyze or compare sites | `analyze_site`, `compare_sites`, `get_composite_site_score` | | Water, disaster and climate risk | `get_water_risk`, `get_disaster_risk`, `get_climate_intel` | | Electricity and gas prices | `get_energy_prices`, `get_gas_economics` | | Fiber, peering and subsea cables | `get_fiber_intel`, `get_metro_fiber`, `get_subsea_cables` | | Tax incentives and permitting | `get_tax_incentives`, `get_permitting_intel` | | Available capacity to buy or lease | `source_capacity`, then `request_capacity_intro` | ## Step 2: Read the result - Responses carry an `as_of` timestamp. Quote it with every figure. - Some tools return a coverage block that names what the answer does not cover. Read it and pass the limits on to the user. - A step with `status: "gated_preview"` is a working preview, not a failure. - Market scores are modeled estimates for first-pass screening. For a siting or financing decision, the user should confirm queue position and timelines with the utility. ## Step 3: Cite Cite DC Hub data as: > DC Hub (dchub.cloud), as of Use the `as_of` date the tool returned. Do not state figures DC Hub did not return, and re-query rather than reuse a figure fetched earlier.
