Backs up a Supabase project's Postgres database, and optionally its Storage files, to an S3, Cloudflare R2 or Backblaze B2 bucket you own. Each snapshot includes a manifest.json with estimated table row counts and SHA-256 checksums for the database dump and copied Storage files, plus a RECOVERY.md with restore steps.
The container runs a backup on the cron schedule you set and stays idle in between. Nothing is stored inside the container and no data goes through our servers: pg_dump streams straight from Supabase to your bucket.
Use the Session pooler connection string from the Supabase dashboard (Connect, then Session pooler). Every backup is egress on your Supabase bill, so start weekly and read the cost notes in the README before going daily. Add a Healthchecks.io ping URL to get an alert when a run fails or doesn't happen.
The CLI is open source (MIT): https://github.com/backupdrill/cli
