# Privacy Policy for BayesChat

     ## Overview

     BayesChat is a local AI chat client that connects to third-party AI providers configured by the user. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

     ## Data Collection

     BayesChat does **not** collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All data remains on your device.

     ## API Keys

     Your API keys for third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) are stored locally on your device using Apple's Keychain. They are never sent to us or any third party other than the
     AI provider you configure.

     ## Conversations

     All chat conversations are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. They are not backed up to or synchronized with any external server by BayesChat.

     ## Third-Party AI Providers

     When you use BayesChat to interact with AI providers, your messages are sent directly to the provider you have configured (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). Please review the privacy policy of each provider for
     their data handling practices.

     ## Local Network Access

     BayesChat may access your local network to connect to self-hosted AI servers (e.g., Ollama, LM Studio). This communication stays within your local network.

     ## In-App Purchases

     BayesChat offers a one-time "Pro" unlock purchase through Apple's App Store. Purchase verification is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information.

     ## Analytics and Tracking

     BayesChat does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

     ## Children's Privacy

     BayesChat does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

     ## Changes to This Policy

     We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page.
