--- name: setup-pstack description: Configure pstack role and review preferences for Codex. Use for setup-pstack, configuring pstack models, or changing the pstack budget. --- **Codex compatibility:** Before following this workflow, read [../../docs/harness/codex.md](../../docs/harness/codex.md). Its mappings replace Cursor-specific tool calls, model defaults, paths, and autonomy rules throughout this skill and its referenced files. # Setup pstack for Codex 1. Read the Codex adapter linked above and existing `~/.codex/pstack/models.md` if present. Do not edit Codex config.toml or AGENTS.md as part of this skill. 2. Offer a review budget if the user has not specified one: small, medium, large, or unlimited. Explain that these express effort preferences and do not select a runtime reasoning setting. Retain the current choice on reruns. 3. Default every role to `inherit-parent`. Only offer explicit models confirmed by the actual session and permitted override rules. If unavailable, keep inheritance; the user does not need to supply Cursor model IDs. 4. Show the proposed role settings. Apply any choices already provided. Ask only for material missing preferences; do not ask again for authorization already given. Preserve unrelated existing settings. 5. Write `~/.codex/pstack/models.md` with a budget line and one line per role below. Use normal filesystem permissions. Do not add alwaysApply frontmatter. ```text # pstack Codex preferences, read by the bundled Codex adapter # budget: medium feature, refactoring: inherit-parent bug-fix: inherit-parent perf-issue: inherit-parent hillclimb: inherit-parent judgment and prose: inherit-parent hardest tasks: inherit-parent how explorer: inherit-parent how explainer: inherit-parent why investigators: inherit-parent why synthesizer: inherit-parent reflect tooling: inherit-parent reflect judgment, divergent, synthesizer: inherit-parent arena runners: inherit-parent, inherit-parent arena cross-judge pool: inherit-parent swarm workers: inherit-parent architect runners: inherit-parent, inherit-parent interrogate reviewers: inherit-parent, inherit-parent ``` 6. Report the written path and any capability limits. The next skill invocation reads these preferences. Setup alone does not activate a sticky mode. 7. If relevant to the project, mention the bundled create-verification-skill and create-formal-verification-skill workflows. Run them only if requested.
