**AppLock: Fingerprint & Vault** (referred to as "the App") is developed by **Pranav Purwar** ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

The App is designed to protect your privacy. We do **not** collect, store, or share any of your personal or sensitive data. All processing related to app locking and security happens locally on your device.

### Permissions Used and Their Purpose:

To provide its core functionality, the App requires several permissions:

*   **Accessibility Service API:** Used solely to detect when a protected app is launched or closed to show the lock screen. No personal or sensitive data is collected, stored, or shared.
*   **Usage Stats (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS):** An alternative method to detect app foreground changes for locking purposes.
*   **System Alert Window (Display Over Other Apps):** Required to display the lock screen overlay on top of protected applications.
*   **Device Administrator:** Used to prevent unauthorized uninstallation of the App, ensuring your protection remains active.
*   **Biometric/Fingerprint (USE_BIOMETRIC):** Used to allow you to unlock apps using your device's biometric sensors. The App does not have access to your actual biometric data; it only receives confirmation of successful authentication from the system.
*   **Query All Packages:** Used to list all installed applications on your device so you can select which ones to protect.
*   **Post Notifications:** Used to show persistent notifications to ensure the background protection service remains active and reliable.
*   **Receive Boot Completed:** Allows the protection service to start automatically when your device restarts.
*   **Request Ignore Battery Optimizations:** Used to prevent the Android system from killing the background protection service, ensuring consistent security.

## 2. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Specifically, we use **Google AdMob** for advertisements.

### Google AdMob
AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's Advertising ID, IP address, and interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. We implement Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage your consent for ad personalization in compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws.

## 3. Log Data

We do not collect any log data or crash reports that personally identify you. Any technical data used for troubleshooting is anonymous and handled by standard system tools or third-party SDKs (like AdMob) as per their own policies.

We value your trust in providing us with your information. Since the App does not collect personal data, the security of your protected apps depends on the PIN/Pattern/Biometric you set within the App and your device's overall security.

The App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
