Vcwallet is a self-custody Litecoin wallet extension and web application. This Privacy Policy explains what information Vcwallet processes, how it is used, and what is stored on your device or transmitted to third-party services.

1. Wallet keys and recovery information

Vcwallet is designed so that private keys, recovery phrases, and wallet credentials are stored locally on the user's device.

Vcwallet does not intentionally transmit your private key, recovery phrase, or wallet password to Vcwallet servers.

Users are responsible for keeping their recovery phrase and wallet credentials secure. Anyone with access to a valid recovery phrase or private key may be able to control the associated wallet.

2. Locally stored information

Vcwallet may store information locally on your device, including:

encrypted wallet data
wallet addresses
account settings
usernames used within the application
preferences
session information
locally cached transaction and market data

Local browser storage may be cleared if the extension, browser profile, or site data is removed.

3. Blockchain information

To provide Litecoin wallet functionality, Vcwallet may send public wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, transaction data, and signed transactions to Litecoin blockchain infrastructure or API providers.

Blockchain transactions are public and may be permanently visible on the Litecoin blockchain.

4. Market data

Vcwallet may connect to third-party cryptocurrency market-data providers, such as CoinGecko, to retrieve cryptocurrency prices and market information.

These third-party services may receive standard connection information such as your IP address, browser information, and request metadata according to their own privacy policies.

5. Backend services

Vcwallet may use backend infrastructure for certain account-related or application features. Depending on the feature being used, information such as usernames, generated device identifiers, or application metadata may be transmitted to those services.

Vcwallet does not intentionally sell personal information to advertisers.

6. Financial information

Vcwallet is not intended for children under the minimum age required to independently use cryptocurrency services in their jurisdiction.
