# Privacy Policy — Universal 3D Previewer (macOS) **Effective date:** April 29, 2026 This policy describes how **Universal 3D Previewer** (“the app”) handles information when you use the Mac App Store distribution on macOS. The app provides Finder Quick Look previews, thumbnails, and an optional local viewer for supported 3D and toolpath files. ## Summary The app is built to work **on your Mac**. It **does not require an account**, and the developer **does not operate sign-in, user profiles, or a backend service** for normal use of the app. ## Data the developer collects from you For the distributed Mac App Store build described here, the developer **does not intentionally collect personal data from the app for marketing, advertising, or analytics**. If you choose to contact the developer through a public channel (for example, GitHub Issues on the repository linked from the App Store listing), you may submit information you decide to include in that message. That is governed by the policies of the platform you use. ## How the app uses files on your device To show a preview or thumbnail, the app **reads the file you selected or that Finder is displaying** and processes it **locally on your device** to render geometry or toolpaths. That processing is intended to stay on the Mac consistent with normal Quick Look extension behavior. The app **does not upload your files to the developer** as part of providing previews or thumbnails. ## Apple and the Mac App Store Distribution, updates, crash reporting (if you opt in at the system level), payment (if any), and related platform services are handled by **Apple** under Apple’s terms and privacy policies. The developer does not control Apple’s systems. ## Children’s privacy The app is not directed at children to collect their personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child submitted personal information through a public support channel, you can request removal of that content through the same platform’s processes where applicable. ## Changes to this policy The developer may update this policy from time to time. The **effective date** at the top will change when updates are published. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy. ## How to ask questions Use **GitHub Issues** on the repository linked from the Mac App Store listing for this app (marketing or support URL shown in App Store Connect).
