V-Rising ferment9348/v-rising:latest https://hub.docker.com/r/ferment9348/v-rising/ bridge bash false https://github.com/blckassassin/unraid-game-servers/issues https://github.com/blckassassin/unraid-game-servers V Rising dedicated server. Windows depot via SteamCMD, run under GE-Proton. First boot downloads about 2GB and then builds a Proton prefix, which can sit quiet for several minutes before anything appears in the log. That is normal. The fields below are passed as launch options on every restart, so changing one and restarting takes effect. Your own edits to ServerHostSettings.json and ServerGameSettings.json are never overwritten - those are seeded once and then left alone. Anything without a field is still reachable: the server reads its own VR_ environment variables, so a variable named VR_FPS set to 45 sets the server framerate. See https://github.com/StunlockStudios/vrising-dedicated-server-instructions for the full list. The server saves when the container stops. Raise Unraid's container stop timeout to at least 75 seconds so the save is not cut off. Earlier images told Steam this server was the dedicated server tool (app 1829350) instead of V Rising itself (app 1604030). The server logged on to Steam but never finished its setup: it did not answer server browser queries, was never listed, and Direct Connect timed out. Update the container; no setting needs to change. - BepInEx mods work. The README explains how to install them. ###1.0.1 (2026-09-18) - Documentation only. The image is identical to 1.0.0; there is nothing to pull. - Moving the game port is possible from the Unraid UI again. The old instruction said to set the Container Port, and Unraid greys that box out for every port a template supplies, so there was nowhere to type the number. Remove the Game Port entry and add your own Port entry instead, with the Container Port and Host Port both set to your number - an entry you create yourself has no container port yet and stays editable. Query Port is the same. - A template update can restore the stock entry alongside yours. Two entries then publish: yours, which works, and the old number, which nothing is listening on. Remove the restored one and Apply. ###1.0.0 (2026-09-07) Initial release. - V Rising dedicated server. The game ships no Linux server binary, so this installs the Windows depot with SteamCMD and runs it under GE-Proton. - Settings here are applied as launch options on every start, so changing Max Players or the password and restarting takes effect. They are not written into the server's config files, so your own edits to ServerHostSettings.json and ServerGameSettings.json are never overwritten. - Any variable you add whose name starts with VR_ is read by the server directly, so every setting in Stunlock's documentation is available even without a field for it. For example VR_FPS set to 45. - Stopping the container saves the world. Raise Unraid's container stop timeout to at least 75 seconds. - A CPU without AVX is handled automatically. --restart=unless-stopped About 4GB once installed - 1.6GB of server files, 2.1GB for the GE-Proton build and its wine prefix - so allow 6GB of free space for saves and updates. It is not a light server, so give it several GB of RAM. The array is fine; a cache drive or SSD makes world loads and saves noticeably quicker. 27015 27015 27016 27016 25575 25575 /mnt/user/appdata/v-rising /mnt/user/appdata/steamcmd V Rising Server world1 40 4 true true true false GE-Proton10-34 60 99 100 775 000
