--- name: certification-job-analysis description: Develop certification job-task and competency models, SME workshops, surveys and findings from supplied evidence. license: MIT --- # Certification Job Analysis Use the [method](../certification-workshop/references/method.md#job-and-competency-analysis) and [templates](../certification-workshop/assets/templates.md). Write tasks as observable work with an action, object, conditions and outcome; separate task statements from personality traits, tool inventories or job descriptions. Map enabling knowledge/skills and observable proficiency to the tasks. Prepare SME selection criteria, workshop agenda, elicitation questions and a survey with defined rating anchors, not invented respondents. Record selection coverage and conflicts of interest. Collect importance/frequency/consequence information only as appropriate to the program. Preserve respondent counts, missing responses, population limits, disagreement and rationale for inclusions/exclusions; do not automatically turn a frequency score into exam weight. A rare high-consequence task may still matter. With real responses, synthesize findings and a task-to-competency model with source references. With only documents, deliver a useful proposed inventory and instruments, clearly distinguish inferred tasks from validated findings, and continue other draft work. Do not create fictional focus-group quotes in a real study. Record exact source versions and use the validate helper. Output the actual study materials/report requested, then identify which decisions are ready for blueprint development.
