# Support — Golf Handicap Tracker Thank you for using **Golf Handicap Tracker**. We're here to help. **Publisher:** NEXTLINE YAZILIM LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ## Contact - **Email:** [support@nextline.software](mailto:support@nextline.software) We typically reply within a few business days. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### How do I add a round? Tap **Add round**, pick your course (search the built-in catalog or enter the course rating and slope manually), enter your adjusted gross score, and the Application calculates the score differential and updates your Handicap Index. Courses you enter manually are saved to your Recents for one-tap reuse. ### How is my Handicap Index calculated? The Application follows the World Handicap System (WHS) formulas: each round produces a score differential from your adjusted gross score, the course rating, and the slope rating, and your Handicap Index is the average of your best differentials according to the official score-count table (Rules of Handicapping 5.2a), including the small adjustments that apply when you have only a few scores. Premium shows the full calculation breakdown for every number. ### Is this an official Handicap Index? No. The Application computes a WHS-style **estimate** for personal tracking. It is not affiliated with the USGA, The R&A, or any golf association, and the number cannot be used for official competition entry. For an official Handicap Index, register with your golf club or national association. ### Why did my rounds disappear after I closed the app? On the **free tier**, the calculator is session-only by design: you get the full, correct Handicap Index while the Application is open, but rounds are not saved across restarts. **Premium** saves your rounds permanently, adds the season trend, the full math breakdown, 9-hole round combining, and iCloud sync. ### The course rating or slope looks wrong. The built-in course catalog is provided on a best-effort basis and may contain outdated values. Please verify against the official scorecard — you can always enter the rating and slope manually — and email us the correction so we can fix the catalog. ### How does the Course Handicap converter work? The converter (free) turns a Handicap Index into a Course Handicap and strokes received for a specific set of tees using the WHS formula (Rule 6.1a). Enter the index, the course rating, slope, and par, and it does the rest. You can open it from the Home screen or Settings. ### How do 9-hole rounds work? Premium combines two 9-hole rounds into one 18-hole score differential, following WHS rules. A pending 9-hole round waits until you post its pair. ### How does iCloud sync work? iCloud sync (Premium) keeps your rounds in your **own private iCloud container**, so they sync between your devices and survive reinstalls. It requires being signed in to iCloud on your device. We never see this data — it lives in your Apple account. You can turn sync off in **Settings** inside the Application. If you see a "Sync paused" chip in Settings, the Application couldn't reach iCloud (for example, you're not signed in to iCloud); your data stays safely on the device in the meantime. ### Where is my data stored? All rounds are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers — we don't have any. With Premium iCloud sync enabled, a copy also lives in your private iCloud container, managed by Apple. ### How do I restore a previous purchase? Open **Settings → Restore Purchases** inside the Application. You must be signed in to the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. ### How do I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open **iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions** to cancel or change your plan. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and never renews. ### Will my rounds disappear if my subscription expires? Rounds saved while you had Premium remain on your device. Free-tier behavior (session-only saving) then applies to new rounds. ### How do reminders work? The Application can send a single local reminder if you haven't posted a round in 7 days. Disable it in **Settings** inside the Application, or revoke notification permission in **iOS Settings → Golf Handicap Tracker → Notifications**. There are no marketing notifications. ### Does the app work offline? Yes. Entering rounds, calculating your Handicap Index, viewing history and trends, and the Course Handicap converter all work fully offline. An internet connection is only needed for purchases and restore, iCloud sync, and crash/analytics reporting. ### The paywall says "Plans couldn't load." Plan prices are always fetched live from the App Store. If they can't load (for example, no connection), tap **Retry** once you're back online. You are never charged without seeing the live price first. ### How do I delete my data? Delete individual rounds from inside the Application, or uninstall the Application to remove all locally stored data. If you used iCloud sync, also remove the Application's data from iCloud in **iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage**. To request deletion of analytics records tied to your anonymous device identifier, email us at [support@nextline.software](mailto:support@nextline.software). ### I found a bug or have a feature request. Please email [support@nextline.software](mailto:support@nextline.software) with a short description, your iOS version, and the Application version (visible in **Settings**). Screenshots are very helpful. ## Additional Resources - **Privacy Policy:** [Privacy Policy](golf-handicap-tracker-privacy-policy.md) - **Terms & Conditions:** [Terms & Conditions](golf-handicap-tracker-terms-conditions.md) Thank you for playing.
