Nothing breaks without it. Network services contacted over HTTPS: - itunes.apple.com podcast directory search (no account, no key; the default and only search backend needed) - api.podcastindex.org optional alternative search, used only when the user supplies their own API key and secret - the podcast feeds, enclosures, artwork, and Podcasting 2.0 chapter files the user subscribes to — all URLs come from the user or from the feeds they chose to trust An optional user-supplied Podcast Index key and secret (stored in this plugin's own settings) are sent only to api.podcastindex.org. Privilege boundary: the plugin makes outbound HTTPS requests, runs mpv as a child process, raises desktop notifications, and writes only to ~/.local/share/omarchy-podcasts/ and its own entry in ~/.config/omarchy/shell.json. It does not modify any other user configuration.
