# Changelog ## 0.15.0 (2026-10-11) - Elements now have a full on/off switch in its page's header and in the Elements list page. - Elements with a "Time left bar" can style it to sit outside the icon again (Bar position, Bar gap). - The No mana look, a blue tint while you can't pay an ability's cost, is now on by default. - A cooldown already running when you log in or /reload now gives its Ready pop and sound when it finishes. - Stormstrike glows when it's ready by default, and its Ready pop and sound after a dodge or parry no longer go missing when you use another ability at the same moment. - New profiles start with different global default styles for Pop and Pulsing-glow. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.14.0 (2026-10-06) - Flurry (experimental): a new element that shows while Flurry is up, with its charges counting down 3, 2, 1 as you swing. Optional charge bar, glow and pop. Its charges can also show as three pips on the swing timer (Swing timer > Marks). - Improved Stormstrike (experimental): a new element that shows while its mana regeneration buff is up, with the time left. - Stormstrike has two new options (experimental): Glow while, to make the icon glow while your Stormstrike debuff is on your target or while Improved Stormstrike's buff is up, and a Time left bar for that buff on the Stormstrike icon itself. - Cure Poison and Cure Disease (experimental): two new elements that appear when a poison or disease is on you, with its time left, a pop and an optional glow. Turn on Your party to have them light up when a party member has one too. - Sounds, all off by default: any cooldown can play a sound when it comes ready. New experimental sounds for a Clearcasting proc, for your breath running low under water, and for Stormstrike coming ready early after a dodge or parry. - /sf disable turns the whole addon off, and /sf enable turns it back on. - Smaller changes: buff timers on racials and utility buffs now end the moment the buff does, totems no longer show Killed early when you die or zone, idle fades now work in a fight, and there are more totem bar themes and art frames to try (experimental). - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.13.0 (2026-10-03) - Groundwork for other classes: the addon's code and structure is being transitioned to work for any class, not just shamans. In future releases this addon might become much wider in scope. Requests for classes to prioritise first are welcome. This also lays the groundwork for user-defined custom elements. - A Guide page in the options: how groups, elements, bars and styles fit together, with live examples. - Shocks: small Frost Shock and Flame Shock icons beside the Shocks icon show your debuffs on the target and their time left. - No mana and Out of range looks on more abilities and on the totem bar's slots (off by default; on for Shocks as before). - Time bars can sit outside the icon. Fixed: a cooldown's time bar no longer fills on every global cooldown. - Totem bar: totem sets (experimental), snapping with guides while positioning, and gaps for Call and Recall. - Art frames (experimental): decorative art round an element or a whole group. - Borders are set per element; groups no longer have their own. - Shields: an optional sound when your shield goes (more foundational sound alert capabilities coming in a future release, this is just an early version). - ShamanForever is now licensed under GPL-3.0, which means it is free and open source! Use it, learn from it, change it, share it, as long as anything you share that's built on it stays free and open under the same license, and a credit to the original source tucked away in your addon somewhere. Thanks, and happy building! - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.12.1 (2026-10-02) - The options window opens faster and uses far less memory. - Works on the latest WoW Forever beta build (1.60.1.70170). ## 0.12.0 (2026-10-01) - Styles explorer: a new page showing every border, glow and pop look side by side; right-click one to use it as a global style. - Global settings (was General), with Reset links on every section you've changed, a whole-element reset, and Expand all / Collapse all; sections start collapsed apart from the ones used most. - Pops and glows: Reach for how far a burst spreads, a chosen element for each element's burst, smoother Grow and Bounce, a steadier Heartbeat, a clearer School material, and Travelling spark's own Lap time. - Borders with rounded or cut corners apply to Shields and procs at once, with no /reload. - Fixed: Heartbeat and Outer halo no longer flash across the screen when an icon pops, and option pages no longer stretch while a preview plays. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.11.1 (2026-10-01) - Racial abilities as elements (experimental): Stoneform, Blood Fury, Berserking, War Stomp and more, in a new Racials group. - Maelstrom Weapon pops at five stacks. - The Elements page is easier to use. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.11.0 (2026-10-01) - Idle for every element: fade or hide an element while it has nothing going on (on cooldown, off cooldown, not active, etc). Shields can show only at one charge. - Glows, pops and opacity work the same on every element, including Shields, Flame Shock and procs, in combat too. - Totem bar: arrow keys nudge it while positioning. - New profiles use the Blizzard bar texture. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.10.0 (2026-09-30) - New: Flame Shock and Purge (experimental). Flame Shock goes grey while your hostile target doesn't have it, in combat too, with an optional red ring and glow, and its time bar changes colour near the end. Purge lights while your target has a Magic buff. - Shields: the No shield warning shows the moment your shield drops, in combat too. The In-combat fallback and Icon opacity settings are gone. - Text and Bars: choose the font, outline, shadow and bar texture, including other addons' fonts. The totem bar and swing timer can have their own. - Totem bar: themes (Pixel, and Stone and bronze, experimental), time bars beside the icons, and key text with size, offset and colour. - New profiles start with a new default layout. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.9.0 (2026-09-30) - Swing timer added. - New elements: Lava Burst, Chain Lightning and Maelstrom Weapon (experimental). - Ready pops now work in combat. - Sounds added for things like cooldown ready or imbue dropping, all off by default. - Groups & Layout improvements. - New glow, pop and border options. - Preview mode added. - Many other minor fixes and improvements. ## 0.8.0 (2026-09-27) - New elements: Tremor Totem, Nature's Swiftness, Mana Tide Totem, Grounding Totem, Stormstrike, Riptide, Rage of the Farseer, Totemic Projection, Reincarnation (with your Ankh count), Water Walking, Water Breathing (warns under water without it) and Elemental Focus. Most are experimental, not yet tested in game because they need spells or talents I haven't been able to try. If you can try them, each has a feedback link on the About page. - Elements for spells you haven't learned are listed in the options, marked "Not learned", and stay off screen until you learn them. `/sf test` shows them greyed. - Totem bar: Quick Keybind Mode binds controller buttons as well as keys (not yet tested). - Fixed: Blizzard's active totems display could reappear in the Everything and Active totems modes. - Minor fixes and improvements, mostly to the options window. ## 0.7.2 (2026-09-26) - Idle: Earthbind, Stoneclaw and Fire Nova can fade while they have nothing going on (off cooldown, and their totem isn't down). Set the idle opacity on each page, down to hidden; icons keep their place, and their pops and glows still show at full. Earthbind and Stoneclaw fade to 35% by default. Fire Nova lets you choose when it counts as idle, and is never idle by default. - Totem bar: bind its keys by hovering it in Quick Keybind Mode (/kb, or Options > Keybindings). Each button can show its key: "Show keybinding text", under Display. - Global cooldown: a new setting on General, off by default, which Shields, Shocks, the cooldown elements and the totem bar can each override. On, every cast sweeps, as on action bars. Off, shocks and cooldowns show only their own cooldown. - Totem bar: an arrow opens and closes its picker, right-clicking any arrow closes an open picker, and a pick happens when you release the mouse button. - Fixed: in PvP and some boss fights, changes to the shield or the out-of-range strip made between fights could wait until after your next fight to apply. - Feedback: ShamanForever has a Discord server. The About page links it, CurseForge comments and GitHub issues, and Home's Give feedback button takes you there. You can also support the addon on Ko-fi, from About. - Minor: options explain more on the page itself instead of in tooltips, faster mouse-wheel scrolling, and a redesigned About page. ## 0.7.1 (2026-09-26) - Groups have their own icon size, or follow General's. Icon size keeps borders and rings crisp; Scale grows everything, borders and rings included. The same goes for the totem bar. - Positioning: the mouse wheel over a group or the totem bar changes its icon size, Ctrl + wheel its scale, Shift + wheel its opacity. - Warning rings look the same everywhere: red, 3 pixels, crisp at any icon size. The totem bar's was thinner. - New defaults for expiring totems: fade in and out, and a pop when it runs out. Grey icon, red ring and pulsing glow start off. Settings you've already changed keep your choice. ## 0.7.0 (2026-09-26) - Totem bar: out of range. A strip along the top of a slot turns red while one of your totems is down but you aren't getting its buff, in combat too. For totems that buff you, such as Strength of Earth, Stoneskin and Healing Stream. On by default; set its height and colours (with opacity, including one for in range) on the totem bar page. - Totem bar: with a picker open, clicking another slot's arrow opens that picker in one click. - Fixed: picking a totem could hide the totem bar until the end of a fight, and a picker left open could come back with the bar and swallow the next click. - Fixed: the expiring warning covered the cooldown sweep and numbers on Fire Nova, Earthbind and Stoneclaw. - Fixed: a fight that started while positioning was unlocked blocked clicks, camera turning and zoom over your groups. - Spells are recognised by their ID instead of their English name, so ShamanForever should work in other game languages (its options stay in English). - Minor: drag and drop to order the totem bar's elements, the totem bar preview lists its states down the side, options changed in combat show at once, less work per frame, and fixes. ## 0.6.2 (2026-09-25) - Elements and the totem bar can have their own glow and pop style, or keep using General's ("Same as General" on their pages). Groups and the totem bar can do the same with their border, and the totem bar's icon size is set separately from its border. - Earthbind and Stoneclaw: killed early's pop, glow and cross can each be turned on or off, as on the totem bar, and they pop when their totem runs out. - "Edit General" buttons lead from any "Same as General" to its settings, and the General page lists what has its own style. - Glow and pop settings from 0.6.1 go back to their defaults. - Minor: Ready and Killed early sections on element pages, element previews wear their group's border, Shields' time left starts without a swipe on new profiles, and the beta warning about saved settings is gone. ## 0.6.1 (2026-09-25) - Fixed: after restarting the game, a character could load the Default profile instead of its own. - Fixed: icons popped after every cast (the global cooldown), and "Pulsing glow when ready" blinked off during it. - Pulsing glows now sit inside the icon, running in from its edges, so they show at any icon opacity. Set colour, pulse length, pulse depth and thickness on the General page, with a live preview. - Pops have their own settings on the General page: motion (grow, bounce, hop, or shake side to side or up and down), how far and how fast, plus an optional flash, ring burst and star burst, coloured by what happened. A test icon plays your choice. The new default is a shake up and down with a star and a flash. - Totem bar: "Not your pick" has opacity and colour settings. - Previews in the options use your border settings. ## 0.6.0 (2026-09-25) - Totem bar is out of experimental. At the top of its page, choose Blizzard's, Active totems (replaces only the totems under the player frame) or Everything (replaces both of Blizzard's totem bars). - Totem bar: Call of the Elements and Totemic Recall buttons, at both ends of the bar or together before or after the slots, with their own size. Right-click Recall to dismiss every totem (no global cooldown, no mana back), even before you learn it. - Key bindings (Options > Keybindings > ShamanForever): cast each element's totem, dismiss each totem or all of them, Call of the Elements, Totemic Recall. - Killed early: a totem that dies before its time flashes red with a pop, a glow and a cross until you recast it. On the totem bar, Earthbind and Stoneclaw. - Pulsing glows: expiring totems, a missing imbue, and optionally Shocks and Fire Nova when they're ready to cast. Colour, speed and size on the General page. - Pops: a spell coming off cooldown, a totem running out, and your imbue dropping. - Minimap button (and the minimap's addon menu): click for the options, right-click to lock or unlock positioning. The options reopen on the last page you had open. - Earthbind and Stoneclaw show their time left as a bar only, and only the cooldown sweeps on them and on Fire Nova. - Minor: "Pulse" is now "Fade in and out", a reworked Layout page, and fixes. ## 0.5.0 (2026-09-24) - Totem bar (experimental): left-click drops the element's picked totem, right-click dismisses it, and the arrow tab or Alt+click picks a totem, in combat too. It can replace Blizzard's totem bars, and it's on by default. - Timers: countdown text, swipe and time bar can each be on or off and styled (size, colour, position, time format, bar height and colour) for every cooldown and time left. Defaults on the General page, overrides on each element's page. - Earthbind, Stoneclaw and Fire Nova can warn in their totem's last seconds. - The Layout page has a Hidden card: drag an element there to hide it. - Shields: charge bar height and colour. - New defaults: larger icons, groups near the centre of the screen, 2 px borders. Profiles → Reset applies them. Countdown and timer settings from earlier versions aren't carried over. - Fixed: logging in again sometimes switched a character back to an older profile. - Minor: a lock/unlock button in the options footer, settings that don't apply are hidden, cleaner warning rings, and fixes. ## 0.4.1 (2026-09-24) - Fixed: Earthbind and Stoneclaw sometimes showed a timer while a different earth totem was down. - In positioning mode, click a group and use the arrow keys to move it (Shift: 10 at a time). - Positioning locks when combat starts. ## 0.4.0 (2026-09-24) - Profiles. Each character uses one, and new characters start on Default. Your current settings become the Default profile. - Profiles can be shared as text: export one, import someone else's. - The options window closes while positioning is unlocked and comes back when you lock. Tick Keep options open in the unlock panel to keep it open. - Reset is now on the Profiles page and resets only the active profile. ## 0.3.2 (2026-09-23) - Centre on screen, Split up and Hide all ask for confirmation first. - An element's options page has an Edit group button that opens its group's settings. ## 0.3.1 (2026-09-23) - An element can be moved to another group from its own options page. - Minor options window improvements. ## 0.3.0 (2026-09-23) - Shields can track Water Shield, or whichever shield is up (experimental, not yet tested in game). Lightning Shield stays the default. - Elements with a countdown can have their own countdown text size. - The options show a live preview of each element's looks, such as shield down or out of range. - `/sf lock` now toggles. - Redesigned options window. ## 0.2.1 (2026-09-23) - Icon borders: 1 px black by default, with size, colour and on/off settings (General page), and an optional custom border per group (Layout page). - New defaults for fresh installs (existing settings are kept): elements start in three groups, the Lightning Shield charge number is off (the charge bar shows the charges), and the Weapon Imbue icon stays hidden until the imbue is missing or running low. ## 0.2.0 (2026-09-23) - Elements are arranged in groups, each a row or column with its own position, scale and opacity. Your current layout carries over as one group. - Each element can show Always, In combat or Never, and each group can be set to combat only. - New resizable options window (`/sf`). Assign elements to groups by dragging them on the Layout page. - While unlocked: drag a group to move it, mouse wheel to scale, shift + wheel to change opacity. Optional grid and snapping. - Slash commands trimmed to `lock`, `unlock` and `debug`; everything else is in the options window. - New element: Weapon Imbue. Warns while no Rockbiter, Flametongue, Frostbrand or Windfury imbue is on your main hand, shows which one is, and its time left once under 5 minutes. - Lightning Shield icon pulses while the shield is down (can be turned off). - New cooldown elements: Earthbind Totem and Stoneclaw Totem (cooldown, plus a bar and timer while the totem is down) and Fire Nova (cooldown, greyed with a red ring while no fire totem is out). - Beta: Blizzard's Issue Reporter button now remembers where you drag it, and can be hidden (General page). ## 0.1.4 (2026-09-22) - Now published on CurseForge. No gameplay changes. ## 0.1.3 (2026-09-22) - The Lightning Shield icon no longer floats above other addons' windows: it now sits in the same strata as the rest of the display. - The Lightning Shield icon no longer reads darker than the shock icon: the no-shield underlay fades while the shield is up and Blizzard's icon alpha compensates so the two layers sum to the display opacity. New slider "No shield: combat fallback" sets how strongly the no-shield look shows if the shield drops mid-fight. - New Lightning Shield sliders "Shielded: duration swipe" (zero turns the swipe off) and "Shielded: icon opacity". ## 0.1.2 (2026-09-22) - Each element can be shown or hidden: "Elements" section in the options, or `/sf show|hide shield|shock`. Hidden elements keep their position and the display shrinks around them. - Elements are laid out by their own size and centred on the cross axis, so future non-icon elements fit the row or column. ## 0.1.1 (2026-09-22) - New display option "Only show in combat" (also `/sf combat on|off`). Off by default; the display stays visible while unlocked so it can be moved. ## 0.1.0 (2026-09-22) First release, for the World of Warcraft: Forever beta (interface 16001). - Lightning Shield icon with charge number and segmented charge bar, drawn by Blizzard's secure aura container so it stays exact in combat. - Grey icon when the shield is down, plus a red ring once the state is readable again. - Shock icon for Earth, Flame or Frost (highest known rank) with cooldown countdown, red out-of-range look, and blue not-enough-mana look with a blue ring. - Options panel: display, layout (size, spacing, row or column, growth, icon order), shield and shock looks. `/sf` or `/shf`.
