The Filipino word loosely translates to “empathy” and underscores the company’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and community focus. DFNN incorporates stakeholder concerns into the decision-making process and has a dedicated team to focus on corporate governance. The company, which is traded on the Philippine Stock Exchange, uses the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a guideline for continuous improvement. Over the past three years, it has made steady advances in the number of SDG recommendations completed, from 107 in 2017 to 161 last year. It has adopted environmental sustainability measures that are designed to deliver maximum growth for the company and its stakeholders — and ensure the responsible use of natural resources.
