From its start as a sole-proprietor operation in 1952, Stantec has evolved into a global design, engineering and sustainable consulting firm with a network of 26,000 employees and 400 offices across six continents. The company consistently ranks among the top ESG performers worldwide. Stantec manifests a motto of “better together” by forging strong partnerships and fostering a corporate culture of inclusion, diversity and equity. Stantec has introduced flexible working structures and created a fund to help employees facing financial hardship. It conducts analyses to identify and close gender and minority pay gaps. Stantec has been included on <em>Bloomberg’s</em> Gender-Equality Index for three consecutive years and was praised by <em>Forbes</em> as a female-friendly and diverse employer. Stantec’s Employee Resource Groups offer networking and development opportunities for its diverse workforce: women; Black, Latino and Asian people; indigenous peoples; the LGBQT community; people with disabilities; and military and veteran advocates. Stantec was recognised in 2021 as one of the world’s 100 most sustainable corporations. It received a prime ESG rating from the Institutional Shareholder Services and an A- from the Carbon Disclosure Project. The CFI.co judging panel has unanimously voted for Stantec — a repeat programme winner — in the 2022 award category for Best Gender Inclusion Strategy (North America).</p>",
