EDVR - native OpenXR package ================================ This folder contains the native OpenXR runtime facade, the Khronos loader, and the license notice. They are installed together in Openvr\win64. INSTALL ------- 1. Close Elite Dangerous. 2. In the game's Openvr\win64 folder, rename the game's existing openvr_api.dll to openvr_api_orig.dll. Preserve that file for uninstall. If an original already exists, use the installer for the upgrade. 3. Copy openvr_api.dll, openxr_loader.dll, and OPENXR-LOADER-LICENSE.txt from this folder into Openvr\win64. 4. Copy d3d11.dll to the folder containing EliteDangerous64.exe. Keep the existing EDHM d3d11.dll chain intact if EDHM is installed. Keep your edvr.ini, or copy the supplied one for a fresh installation. 5. Start the game. The bundled loader uses the OpenXR runtime selected in Windows. SteamVR is an allowed selected runtime; the SteamVR application is not a separate package requirement. No vendor runtime DLL is substituted by this package. UNINSTALL --------- Close Elite, remove EDVR's d3d11.dll, openvr_api.dll, openxr_loader.dll and the license notice, then rename openvr_api_orig.dll back to openvr_api.dll. Keep the original file untouched until the uninstall is complete.
