# Orange Cloud Individual Contributor License Agreement (v1.0)

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Orange Cloud (the
"Project"). This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") clarifies
the intellectual-property rights granted with Contributions from any
person or entity to Zhe Chen (陳柘), the Project's licensor (the
"Licensor").

**Why this is required:** the Project is dual-licensed. The public
repository is licensed under AGPL-3.0 + Commons Clause, while the
Licensor also distributes official builds through the Apple App Store
under a separate proprietary license. For your contribution to be
included in both distributions, the Licensor needs the rights below.

By submitting a Contribution you accept and agree to the following
terms for your present and future Contributions.

## 1. Definitions

"Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any
modifications or additions to existing work, that you intentionally
submit to the Project for inclusion (e.g., via pull request, patch, or
issue attachment).

## 2. Grant of Copyright License

You hereby grant to the Licensor a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare
derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute,
and sublicense your Contributions and such derivative works, **under
any license terms, including the AGPL-3.0 + Commons Clause license of
the public repository and the proprietary license used for the App
Store distribution**.

You retain full ownership of your Contributions; this is a license, not
a transfer of ownership. You retain the right to use and license your
own Contributions for any other purpose.

## 3. Grant of Patent License

You hereby grant to the Licensor and to recipients of software
distributed by the Licensor a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated below) patent license to
make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise
transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to patent
claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your
Contributions alone or by combination with the Project. If any entity
institutes patent litigation alleging that the Project or a
Contribution constitutes patent infringement, any patent licenses
granted to that entity under this Agreement terminate as of the date
such litigation is filed.

## 4. Representations

You represent that:

1. You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses. If your
   employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have
   received permission to make the Contribution on its behalf, or your
   employer has waived such rights.
2. Each Contribution is your original creation. If any part is not,
   you will identify its source and license in the submission.
3. You are not expected to provide support for your Contribution,
   and you provide it "AS IS", without warranties of any kind.

## 5. How to sign

Comment on your first pull request:

> I have read the CLA Document and I hereby sign the CLA.

(or sign via the CLA bot prompt if one is configured). The signature
covers all your subsequent Contributions to the Project.
