# GPT-6 targeted follow-up probes These probes cover selected repairs in the integrated skill revisions through `dba6e5a` (including `fe883e6`, `c308b15`, and `4bd7ecd`). The subject was `gpt-6-luna/high`; the judge was `gpt-6-sol/high`. Final targeted runs used three repetitions per eligible case and arm. Counts below are combined objective and judge outcomes unless called out as a regrade or rejudgment. | Probe | Outcome | Evidence | | --- | ---: | --- | | Compose screenshot-review novel case, forced + automatic | 6/6 (3/3 each) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-100-probe/compose-escalated` | | Compose direct + negative controls, forced + automatic | 12/12 (3/3 each case and arm) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-100-probe/compose-controls-escalated` | | Android benchmark novel, forced + automatic; `to-plan` direct, forced | 9/9 (3/3 per case and arm) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-100-probe/workflows-escalated` | | Workflow controls: benchmark direct raw; benchmark negative; `to-plan` discussion-only negative, unresolved-choice negative, novel, and ordinary negative | 4/6; 6/6; 1/3; 2/3; 3/3; 3/3 | `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-100-probe/workflows-controls-escalated` | | Kotlin router API target, forced + automatic | 6/6 (3/3 each) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-kotlin-router-template-final-target` | | Kotlin exhaustiveness direct control, forced + automatic | 6/6 (3/3 each) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-kotlin-router-template-direct-control` | | Kotlin open-fallback negative control, forced + automatic | 6/6 (3/3 each) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-kotlin-router-template-open-negative` | | Final `to-plan` forced target: five cases | 15/15 (3/3 per case) | `/private/tmp/gpt6-plan-restraint-3rep-root-authorized` | The workflow-control benchmark direct result is 4/6 on the raw packets: forced was 3/3 and automatic was 1/3. A deterministic corrected-validator regrade raises that direct result to 5/6; the original `automatic:1` judge verdict remains failed. A separate corrected-validator rejudgment of the derived packet passed both criteria. The raw subject and judge packets were not changed. This one-packet rejudgment is separate evidence and is not added to the 5/6 regrade or counted as a suite score. Regrade: `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-100-probe/workflows-controls-escalated/regraded/results.json`. Rejudgment: `/private/tmp/gpt6-benchmark-auto1-corrected-validator-judgment.json`. Its derived-packet provenance is `/private/tmp/gpt6-benchmark-auto1-corrected-validator-provenance.json`. ## Scope and remaining work These are focused results, not a full-corpus score or a causal old-versus-new comparison. The 81-case frozen three-suite aggregates in the [full result record](2026-09-24-gpt6-improvement-results.md) remain authoritative; that suite has not been rerun at `dba6e5a`. In particular, the full-suite workflow scorecard still records 50.0% forced and 61.1% automatic positive outcomes, 88.9% automatic negative-control restraint, and one forbidden-action failure. The Compose state-hoisting failures were narrower than first reported: two forced replies added an `@Preview` import without declared tooling and did not report the setup gap. Both diffs stayed within the allowed Kotlin file. Revision `6f21cd1` clarifies that previewable content does not require an `@Preview` annotation and requires checking tooling before adding one. Lint and the 99-case corpus validation pass. A targeted live probe was attempted twice but stopped before any model call because `codex --version` hung in evaluator preflight, including after escalation. This revision has no model score yet. Next, recheck that Compose repair and `grounded-writing` automatic negative restraint and novel coverage; then work through `release-kotlin-library`, `shepherd`, and remaining Compose/Kotlin routing misses. Rerun the frozen three-suite corpus after those repairs. The [improvement result record](2026-09-24-gpt6-improvement-results.md) records the original priorities and gates. ## Subsequent local repairs Revision `113a391` clarifies the `@ReadOnlyComposable` contract after two saved Compose reviews incorrectly treated a snapshot `State.value` read as a composer write. Revision `fd19701` requires a review of a composition-time focus request to name the event or keyed effect that should make it safe. Existing direct, novel, and no-change corpus coverage remains valid; these revisions have no live model score yet. Revision `2c17a3a` bounds evaluator preflight subprocesses. The installed `/opt/homebrew/bin/codex` still hangs on `--version`, but preflight now reports that failure after 10 seconds. The bundled ChatGPT CLI responds at version `0.155.0-alpha.16`, and the Compose fixture's offline test passed with Gradle cache access. A one-case probe using that alternate CLI was rejected by automatic approval review before execution because the subject and judge calls would transmit repository skill text to an external model service. No new subject or judge packet was sent. Explicit approval for that payload and destination has been requested; no later GPT-6 score is claimed here. Revision `5f1ad9d` adds an actual stable-summary cross-check to the release preparation handoff. In the saved `release-kotlin-library-direct:forced:1` packet, the subject identified bounded streaming as a surviving change but left it only in prerelease history; this is a real miss. A local regrade of the saved release shard with the current deterministic matcher gives two forced and two automatic combined passes out of three each. The other two failed packets have objective passes but retained judge failures concerning the allowed placement of `2.0.1-SNAPSHOT`; no raw verdict was changed. The regraded packets are in `/private/tmp/gpt6-eval-final-run/.scratch/skill-evals/2026-09-24-gpt6-final-workflows-writing-shard-07-escalated/regraded/results.json`. Revision `005e3cd` requires the shepherd repair loop to establish the actual check inventory and report checks run versus checks whose local equivalents remain unknown. It addresses two saved `shepherd-novel:forced` replies that omitted the latter distinction. Both revisions pass lint and corpus validation; the release case tests also pass. Neither revision has a new model score. Revision `9ed2009` moves the one-consumer versus broadcast decision to the Kotlin Flow entrypoint. A saved `kotlin-flow-state-events-novel:forced` reply recommended a channel under a single-consumer assumption without addressing whether every active consumer needs delivery. Revision `b2fddd1` adds an interface-implementer compatibility check to function-ownership guidance. A saved `kotlin-api-ownership-direct:automatic` diff retained the deprecated String extension but renamed an abstract `ProfileStore` member. The judge treated existing implementer compatibility as a failure; the original audit classified that verdict as a false negative because the rubric required only the String shim. The new guidance is a broader API check, not evidence of a corrected case score. Lint, the 99-case corpus check, and the focused Kotlin eval tests pass. These revisions have no new model scores. Revision `719dc8b` makes focus test guidance name a missing host or parent input seam when the inspected composable has no selector. The saved `router-overlap-animation-focus-testing:forced:3` reply had proposed an "actual selector" absent from the supplied UI. Revision `84bdcf9` adds privacy-bounded Gradle execution evidence to judge packets for workflow cases. In two saved `gradle-incidental-validation-direct` runs, the subject events showed the compact wrapper's create/run/finish sequence, while the judge packet contained only the final response and the judge rejected the wrapper criterion. The new packet carries normalized completed-command facts without raw commands, questions, paths, or logs. Both saved traces normalize to a completed workflow with bounded JSON results. Lint, 209 evaluator tests, and the 99-case corpus validation pass. The saved judge verdicts remain unchanged; no live rejudgment or new model run has passed automatic approval review.
