## Why this exists

Air freight pricing normally sits behind a quote form, so an AI agent asked "what does air freight from China to the USA cost right now?" has nothing concrete to work with. This server exposes the published route, airport and carrier pages plus a **dated, attributed rate reference**, so an agent can answer with a real figure, cite where it came from, and then submit the quote request on the user's behalf.

Rate figures are market benchmarks from the **Freightos Air Index (FAX)**, republished with full credit and a date — they are not AirFreightPrice tariffs. Where no corridor-specific index is published for a lane, the server says so rather than presenting a global figure as a lane price. Nothing is modelled, extrapolated or invented.

### Quote requests

`create_inquiry` is rate-limited to 10 requests per hour per email address and de-duplicates identical repeat submissions.

To exercise the flow without creating a real inquiry, pass `"test": true`, or start `name` / `company` with `TEST` or `TESTAS`. The response is `{"status":"test_blocked"}` and nothing is delivered.

Content is served in 11 languages. URL prefixes: `/en/`, `/de/`, `/es/`, `/lt/`, `/fr/`, `/it/`, `/nl/`, `/fi/`, `/pl/`, `/sv/`. English legacy canonical URLs also exist without the `/en/` prefix. Call `list_languages` for the authoritative list.

## Rate methodology and attribution

Benchmark figures come from the Freightos Air Index, a public index of indicative all-in spot rates in US$/kg on a rolling 7-day average, published by Freightos at [terminal.freightos.com](https://terminal.freightos.com).

Every published figure carries its date and its source. A stale value is hidden rather than shown. Corridor-specific indexes exist only for the lanes Freightos publishes; other lanes show the global index, explicitly labelled as a market reference and not a quote for that lane.

## Limits

Figures are indicative market references. Binding quotes come from carriers and forwarders, not from this server. `create_inquiry` submits a real request to a real pipeline — use the test mode above when developing.
