# Chordarchy demo The release demo should explain the complete value in 20 to 30 seconds without requiring a physical MIDI controller. Record a clean source video first, then cut a shorter GIF from it. ## Setup 1. Use an empty workspace and close notifications. 2. Open Mappings with `omarchy-shell io.github.ctl0v0.chordarchy mappings`. 3. Keep sound on. Disarm commands if a physical MIDI controller is connected. 4. Reset the on-screen piano with `CLEAR` and clear the key-binding filter. 5. Record the Studio window, not the full monitor. ## Shot list | Time | Action | Message | | --- | --- | --- | | 0-3s | Start on Mappings with the full-width piano visible | Turn chords into desktop controls | | 3-7s | Click C4, E4, and G4 | Build a chord without MIDI hardware | | 7-9s | Click `HEAR CHORD`, then `USE CHORD` | Preview safely and select C | | 9-14s | Filter for `terminal` and choose Terminal | Map the chord to an Omarchy action | | 14-17s | Heart the new mapping | Add it to the live setlist | | 17-22s | Open Perform and play `DEMO CMAJ7` | Show the grand staff and warm synth | | 22-26s | Open Practice | Show command-safe rehearsal | Keep the pointer movement deliberate. Pause for roughly half a second after each state change so the edit remains readable. ## Record Start an interactive region recording with desktop audio: ```bash ./scripts/record-demo.sh start ``` Select the complete Chordarchy Studio frame. Stop and finalize the recording with: ```bash ./scripts/record-demo.sh stop ``` The MP4 is written to `assets/demo/` and ignored by Git. Omarchy normalizes captured audio when finalizing the recording. ## GIF Trim the source video before conversion if necessary, then create the optimized looping GIF: ```bash ./scripts/make-gif.sh assets/demo/screenrecording-TIMESTAMP.mp4 ``` The default output is `assets/chordarchy-demo.gif`. It uses an 18 fps, 960-pixel-wide palette pass so labels remain readable without requiring `gifsicle`. ## Marketplace preview Open the strongest Mappings or Perform state, then run: ```bash ./scripts/capture-preview.sh ``` Select only the Studio frame. The command writes the marketplace-compatible root `preview.png`. Review it for notifications, private content, clipped controls, and pointer placement before committing it. For a full-desktop performance source with the compact staff panel and a held demo chord, use: ```bash ./scripts/capture-performance.sh ```
