What I'd like to see is a bi-monthly rotation of items. Have you
noticed how common Shiny Brass Sheilds (AC+10, SV+ 10) are nowadays?
I'd like the trainer to "go away" JUST for 2 months, and have him
replaced with a goblin or kobold NPC carrying a Cleric's shield (with
stats such as AC+9, WIS+3, STR+3). This would increase the variety of
items in the game, but not the number as such, AND make the Shiny Brass
Shield more valuable!
I know that this will reflect the Screaming Mace Quest, so this would
have to go hand in hand with a new Cleric quest weapon. How about the
Knight Star (a quest Morning Star). That sounds cool. A weapon that
casts a low level heal on the user each round would be nice!
