not on a PvP server it would not....it would be part of the norm to start
off a fight....if they did suspend for this....that would be a SERIOUS
problem.

On a PVP mud i played....(pvp areas were set up witrh great exp, but dangers
of looting corpses) if you wanted to hit someone first thing you did was
get all spell casters to dispel magic. typical thing to do I would
say...yeah, i want to hit the druid with a dam shield on...

I have heard (haven't tried, not high enough level) that a nasty tactic that
clerics can employ is to use Cancel Magic to remove buffs from other
players.

Warning though, I believe this can result in bad things happening in terms
of having your account suspended. It may fall under the same category as
training MOBs onto players on purpose.

Though it may be exploited it would be great to be able to buff an heal
mobs. Players should be able to align themselves with MOB's. In Crushbone on
Rallos, we often have DE's defending it from High Elves etc. They should be
able to align themselves with them, heal and buff them, and trade (?) with
them.

Just a thought.

PS still going to try and heal MOB's tonight. I'm almost sure in now that I
have done it by accident in the past too.

I suspected as such. As I said, I was able to do this a while back, and it
was only by accident that I would hit the heal hotkey during a fight.

Oh well, I guess I just have to wait for cancel magic to wreak havoc on the
dark elves :)

You cant heal mobs even if they are fighting you. (Unless that has
changed recently)
