It might not be really related, but the trick to killing Gearheart is easy,
you attack a fairy near the village, but out of sight of othere fairys,
gearheart will come to you, with only gearheart and a fairy madien, i
completed this quest alone at level 16. So with a level 14 party it is not
a hard quest.
