Is there any use for the Gem Cutter yet? I found some Crushed Diamonds and
want to know if it is worth my time to make some.

Yep. I got two of them last night.. one dropped from a clockwork MA, the
other from the goblin king! A nice dwarf who was farming the zone gave me
both. They look like red aprentice robes, AC2, Gnome only, but the class is
set to NONE so nobody can wear it.
I combined them with 1 firewater and 1 metal rod, and presto: Thermal Cloak!
AC6, +20 save cold. Gnome only. My skill is at 78, if I remember correctly,
and it was not trivial. But I succeeded on both tries.
Would be a neat item to sell if not for the gnome only part :)
