I'd have to agree. Bellow is a useful spell for soloing, or when in a two
bard group and you can't find six better songs to twine (not facing
casters). Its not a lot of use in groups which is where bards are best. It
would be nice if like kick it could interrupt casters, but that only happens
in PvP if they get knocked back that little bit. Kinda sad though that one
of the main reasons Verant insists bards don't get bows is because it would
make kiting too easy. Not sure how it would be any easier than with Bellow
and accellerando, a little faster maybe with bows outdamaging Bellow, but
I'd think the cost of the arrows would offset that.
I see no reason to have Bellow's damage increased, there are other issues
pertinent to the bard class that have far more merit than Bellow doing weak
damage. I still can't figure why the other classes that everyone (including
Verant) says are hybrids get 5 or 6 melee skills over and above Dodge, and
we get only the one. You'd think we'd get some magical skills to
compensate, but we don't even get the benefit of a swifter memorization from
meditate. Heck it takes me longer to memorize my highest level spell than
it does our cleric to memorize all eight of his spells.

John,

I don't think your idea has a snowball's chance in 4377.

I think you are relying too much on Bellow. Bards have many other songs
that can be of better use. If you want to solo, there are many other ways
to do so. Bellow is just like the kick that Warriors get, nothing too
powerful, just a bit of extra added damage. Don't expect Bellow to be your
main damage source.

Maybe instead of struggling soloing blues, you should try grouping for a
change. Bards are very effective in a group, as long as you don't continue
to Bellow.

Wayne

PS - My most frustrating experience with a Bard was when I was playing my
Cleric and grouped with four tanks (War, War, Ranger, Pally) all around lvl
16. We were fighting crocs in the Oasis. I was just thinking how we could
rock with a Bard, when there was a lvl 17 Bard needing a group. This Bard
kept using Bellow constantly. I tried and tried to explain to him how much
more effective we would be if he played group songs to no avail. I really
wanted to cry.
