Armor can be 'looks' or stats. Barbed arms, barbed legs, blood stained
mantle & tunic (ok upper 20's but maybe you got lucky), toss in some dwarven
work boots (drool until 30's), ok get Chanda Miller boots, Polar bear cloak,
Erollsi bracer, purity belt. There can be good get-able items too. And
some of the quest components: Shin Greaves, Shin gaunts. Stuff you can maybe
grab off corpses nobody else wants even if you dont kill em. Wear em til
you complete your quests.

Well, this lvl 23 is still in primarily banded - bronze is just too dam
heavy for me.
Got barbed arms, and an apron from unrest.
I also get asked about 3x a week - "Why you 23, and wearing such crappy
stuff?".
