I think a lot of people get the day after Thanksgiving off (I'm
self-employed so...)

However when I wasn't self-employed - I worked for a Mutual Fund Company -
and our holiday days were determined when the New York Stock Exchange was
closed. The day after Thanksgiving is NOT a market holiday - so I had to
work..
