From my understanding any attack, which exceeds a shields remaining hits of
absorption, brings down the shield and does full damage. Bards on the list
were claiming the shield from the PGT was far less useful as you increased
in level because every hit brought it down with no damage absorption. That
proc's a 25 point damage absorption shield I believe.

I would assume it would reduce any attack by 10 damage also? Still
sounds questionable as one more pulse of mana song would give the cleric
more than enough mana to heal 10 damage?
