He has to put a spin on it to control the fact that people are
in fact reading data out of that file. The EQSS Spells Database
is extremely accurate in most cases, and in the few I've found
some misleading info (allbeit it is in fact in the spdat.eff file).

Some of the information translation is lost, and some numbers may
be skewded, etc. But for the most part, they are the raw client
side numbers.
