As a sysadmin, I've just made it a habit to make symbolic
links (assuming Unix) to all logical permutations of a
URL. That way you can type:
bard/eqbard.htm
bard/eqbard.html
bard/eqbards.htm
bard/eqbards.html
bards/eqbard.htm
bards/eqbard.html
bards/eqbards.htm
bards/eqbards.html
And you will still get the same page. One of these days,
someone will make a HTML server that will do this for you
automatically...
