No, it was happening before.

Guk is really not the best place to test it. It's tough to
tell if you have UV up or not. I was playing in Kedge when I
first noticed it, and let me tell you that place is DARK
without UV or IV.

I noticed the problem with the new mask, wood elf, about 3
weeks ago. It's a bona fide bug, it just affects bards the
most because the spells which would cause the same problem
last so long.
