Not sure about any 'thresh holds' for agi but I wouldn't discount it. But,
from personal experience:
AC = Item AC. EAC=Effective AC for character (AC Attribute)
2 AC item vs 9 agi item:
At level 33, 2AC item translates to 3 EAC
At level 33, 9 agi item translates to 3 EAC (took agi from 118 to 127)
At level 34, 2AC item translates to 4 EAC
At level 34, 9 agi item translates to 3 EAC (took agi from 118 to 127)
I didn't do more thorough testing but it's pretty obvious that, while AGI is
very important till 75 (which seems to be a serious threshhold) and still
somewhat important until 100, AC is much more important once your AGI is
over that 100 mark. (at least in Rangers, Bards, SK, Pal etc)
Rogues and Monks may have a different curve. But pure AC definitely seems
the way to go once your AGI/DEX/STR etc are over 100.
One thing I would like to see, however, is a calculation showing how much hp
you get per stamina. Stamina is a pretty easy stat to boost up with items
and I know that a 120 stamina troll SK has a ton more hp than a 100 stamina
DE SK. IMHO: Even if it only translates to 1 HP per 3 or 4 stamina it
might be worth it (in the long run) to go for Stamina over AGI (once AGI is
past 75).
