Not much is behind that zone line. It's one of the safer ones to jump into
from Sol A. It's safe for Sol A because it's just not a convenient spot to
zone to if you're in Sol B. If you want to, you can venture down the tunnel
a ways in Sol B. Between that zone line and the "Window Room" of Sol B
there is only one spawn spot for a kobold. Even if that is there you can
see him long before he sees you, but if he jumps you you should be able to
make the zone back into Sol A unless you were seriously injured in the first
place. If you're feeling really brazen your group could pull that one to
the Sol A zone line and put an end to its miserable flea-bitten existance.
Just be aware that the "Greater Kobolds" are about 5 levels lower than the
"Solusek Kobolds". Don't mess with SK's, go for GK's if you're gonna try
'em.
And if you see a bat or spider just run. I ventured down that same tunnel
and was watching a group in the Window Room killing kobolds and landing a
few blows myself at 29th with no problem. That group was all in their mid
thirties. A Lava Duct Crawler sprinted into the room and they started
beating on it so I jumped in too. I guess in groupsay they said "zone",
because the next thing I know they all run past me and I'm smacking this
level 45 LDC with my Staff of Writhing and Dragoon Dirk. He gave me Blood
Boil and I died about 10 paces later trying to make the zone. Fortunately I
got a nice lvl 50 res - one of the off and on benefits of dying in a high
level dungeon.
BTW, has anyone else notice the irony in the fact that you fight bats and
spiders at level 1-5 and then again at level 45-50?
