As a word of advice though, if you don't have your 1hb skills up, then get a
1hb weapon now and start whacking on things where your melee damage doesn't
matter. For instance, ask if you can whack on the gob's backs in the main
room of Highhold Keep.

I wouldn't bother with the Staff until it proc's. This happens at level 28,
only then will the Staff of Writhing be better that the Claw:
Using the Formula someone posted we can see that the claw is better (only
slightly):
Claw - 5 x 2 +1 = 11 / 19 = 0.578
Staff - 9 x 2 +1 = 19 / 33 = 0.575
The claw is only slightly better but considering it is lighter, and does
not have -9 charisma then it is by far the better item. I also prefer the
claws look over "The Ugly Stick".
Like I said though, once you get to level 28 (might be 27, I forgot), the
Staff of Writhing will be a nice weapon to wield as the proc can change the
way a fight is going.

Now my question. I notice the Yak is worse than the wazi:
yak = 0.708
Wazi = 0.714
Does anyone recommend I chop my Yaks in for some Maid/Butler Fangs, I am
nearly level 43 and never solo, so would I be better with a proc'less
weapon to reduce taunt factor??
