Um, yeah I've got a dark elf. And yeah, point taken. It did take me a
while to find my way out to Neriak. But the funniest experience I had was
with my barbarian. I got on the raft, floated across the lake, then got
lost in the corridor to Everfrost because it was night & I had no lamp yet.
Somehow I got turned around and came back out to the lake. Figured it was a
dead end and wasted the next 20 minutes looking for the way out of Halas.
In my defense I should say that I started the wood elf, the dark elf, the
barbarian, and a few others right away. I've never had a primary. So all
these little misadventures were during my first few playing hours.
Come to think of it, Freeport was a tough town too...
