I can guarantee that lifetap is a poison resist check. I've tested this
with a necro friend in duels. If I sing Poison Resist songs he can't tap me
worth a damn (it still hits but it hits for a TON less dmg) a 5pt dmg
lifetap does 0dmg the one that hits for like 200 only did like 20 dmg. So
the 2000 hp lifetap would probably be hitting for around 200 to 400 instead
of 2000 (quite the drastic difference, neh?)
Also, anyone that's taken on the Maestro of Rancor in Hate can tell you that
using Poison Resist songs reduces his AE Lifetap dmg from 3 to 4 bubbles
down to .5 to 1 bubble.
Lifetap is not a MR check, it's a Poison check, which is why it's so hard to
resist. Almost nobody worries about poison resist since 99.99% of all
poisons in the game do such pathetic dmg (thank god ;)
