Gilgurth has the right idea. When I did a lot of work with fear & chains
(45- thru 50), I had plenty of opportunity to observe and test different
methods. Usually, I try to fear first, then chain. I'd rather have them
moving away albeit at high speed than coming at me slowly beating on me. If
you miss a fear (ie get resisted), immediately restart the song. I would
suggest using warsong instead of denon's - especially since you are using
weapons. Or just fear-chain until you soften them up, then go for the 3
song weave.
