The cure pulses are totaly random. I have a feeling they either remove a
random number of 'counters' or have a percentage chance of removing
disease/poison based how tough the affliction is. As I have had things
like Deadly Poison & Strong Disease removed at times with a single cure
pulse and other times not be cured after 4 or more cure pulses (at that time
I just ask the cleric for a cure).
