LOL! That's one of the things I miss from when I lived in MD. It's
strangely satisfying knocking someone across the field with a foam mace.

Exactly, and in this case, the LARP that I play includes dressing up in
medieval costumes, and swinging foam-padded weapons at 300-1000 of my
closest friends ;)
