SoW does indeed get faster as the caster levels.  It&#39;s speed<br/>
is not reset if you zone - it somehow &quot;remembers&quot; the level of<br/>
the caster.<br/>
<br/>
Walking speed is not just a direct proportion of running<br/>
speed.  Neither is encumbered speed for that matter.  The<br/>
faster your speed enhancement, the *greater* the enhancement<br/>
it has on walking speed and encumbered speed. e.g. Accelerando<br/>
with a drum is faster than SoW.  If you are encumbered, it is<br/>
even *more* faster than SoW (but still slower than being<br/>
unencumbered, though not by much).<br/>

The encumbered speeds were lining up pretty linearly until I<br/>
did my 80 overweight test.  I suspect there&#39;s a greater speed<br/>
penalty that kicks in if you are carrying more than twice your<br/>
normal encumberance.<br/>

Walking with Accelerando and a battle drum is faster than<br/>
running with SoW.  :-)<br/>
