Click to select "a boat" as target then right click to get the "you have the
helm" message - then use movement keys to <hehe> move!
p.s. maybe you are standing in the boat facing stern instead of bow - then
you have to right click to release helm and turn around and repeat to get
helm back...or drive backwards
p.p.s no, selos does not make the canoe go faster.

Stand and click on the hull of the boat (like you're trying
to open a
door). It will say something like "You have the helm"
