Subject: Re: Twisting question

I am currently 20th level and have found my stats have no significant affect
on song perfomance at all. I have also spoken with other bards who have more
Dex or more Chr, and their results are the same as mine. Whether or not "you
miss a note" is dependent upon your Skill Level with that instrument. The
higher your skill becomes, the less you miss notes. When i reached level 16
and got Tarews Aquatic Ayre, i began to finally train my Wind. I noticed
that i would miss the notes 6 or 7 out of 10 tries initially. As my skill
rose, my missed notes dropped off noticably. At 20th, I have reached Master
in all Instruments and hardly miss notes at all.
The moral is, forget about starting character stats as Skill stats are more
imortant. My advice to any new Bard is, put ALL your bonus points into
Strength. The stronger you are the more damage you do, and you can carry
greater weight(i.e. Platemail AND Loot) without being encumbered....both
tangible assets. Just my 2 cents!
