You can get a resist message sometimes. Last night in Perma while being
jackhammered by about 6 or 7 goblin casters I had both Elemental and
Guardian up and I fully resisted one Force Shock. Of course the other 8
Force Shocks I didn't fare too well against.
Even though you don't get a resist message you do take less damage. Just
like when sometimes our bellows only do 1 point of damage instead of the
full amount. When the damage gets to zero then it is resisted.
