I haven't done the spiderling silk/hand drum quest in a while, but that seems like it
would be a good way to build up your funds again if it still rewards the same way.
We had some reports that it wasn't working as well these days though, so that might
not work.

Otherwise, play on people's sympathy. Hold concerts and pass a hat. Act as a
guide. I knew someone in beta who made pretty good money running people from
Freeport to Qeynos (or vice versa) for two platinum a person.
